About ten years back I was fortunate enough to have a story published by The Scarlet Leaf Review out of Canada. I’d rushed it a bit at the time, not quite put the effort into it that it deserved, and was always a bit disappointed. Scarlet started closing down five or so years back, first ending their print publications. Then, a year later, they stopped taking new submissions for their website. Earlier this year I got notice that they had shuttered their doors entirely. As such, I decided to take a new peek at the story and try to freshen it up. Spillwords seems to have liked my changes and rearranges, as they published it this morning. Hope you enjoy.
