My story, A Knock at the Door went up on Spillwords today. Though still a short, this one runs a bit longer than the flash stories I have found myself writing as of late. I hope you enjoy –

Words have come few and far between as of late, but I became intrigued by Spillwords Press and their “13 Days of Halloween” writing contest. I entered a short flash and was fortunate enough to have it selected. It went up today –
Enjoy!
Ah, the summer begins to fade – yuck! I already miss it. On another note – I finally wandered back to the keyboard for a quick story. Hope you enjoy –
Somewhere in Ohio, and down in El Paso, someone’s son or daughter, their father or mother, their uncle or aunt, brother or sister, or maybe a grandparent, has been killed by another gun-wielding lunatic, and we will hear of thoughts and prayers from many of our “leaders.” But by tomorrow it will all be forgotten, and next week we will weep once again.
That sad wind blown, I have another story – a little flash fiction – that went up today. Hope you enjoy.
A side note – when news of El Paso came, we decided to see Yesterday (the movie), as we’d heard it was light and fun, and most certainly we could use the distraction. It was both and well worth the watch.
Been a slow writing “season” and in trying to get back into the groove, I put together a quick, light flash.
Hope you enjoy –
After a bit of an “oops” on the first pub of my story, The Partner (they clipped the last few lines), things seem to be a bit more readable now. Still a couple of missing new lines here and there, but nothing worth jumping up and down about. 😉
A special thanks to all who have served. And a heartfelt remembrance to those who gave it all when they did.
My latest story, Absolution Trail, just went up on Spillwords Press. A little longer one this time around. Hope you enjoy.
(Just missed Cinco de Mayo!)
My story, Absolution Trail, has been accepted by Spillwords Press and will go up on May 27th. Sometimes, despite the best of circumstances, we allow our past to haunt us, as it the case with Marie in this story. When the story is published, I’ll add the link here and on the Stories page.
